Well, we can offer you this opportunity with the PADI Divemaster course! Gaining your PADI Dive master qualification gives you the opportunity to travel and work around the world exploring and discovering new and famous dive locations. Throughout the PADI Divemaster course you will learn dive theory, test your stamina, and improve your diving skills to a demonstration quality of an Open Water Scuba Instructor. Becoming a PADI Divemaster will give you the ability to comfortably guide and supervise recreational divers and assist Instructors in the control of student divers during PADI courses. This is the first step in leadership in the PADI system and is a giant stride to becoming a PADI Instructor.

Course Structure

The PADI Divemaster course consists of three components, the knowledge development, watermanship and practical application. 

For the knowledge development you will cover Physic’s, Physiology, Equipment, Skills and Environment and the Recreational Planner. You will cover topic’s on diver supervision, assisting students, risk management and safety, business of diving and advancing your career as a diving professional. There are nine topic’s in total which will be instructor lead presentations that will be followed by two exams. 

During the watermanship you will cover stamina skills, rescue evaluation, problem solving and skill development. 

During the practical application you will cover dive site management, mapping, dive site briefing, search and recovery dive and a deep dive. You will conduct 5 work shops covering the programs that you can conduct as a PADI Divemaster under the direct supervision of an instructor. You will work with our experienced instructors assisting on various different PADI courses such as Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialities.

If your CPR and First aid needs up dating the you can do this at Scubascene with the Emergency First Response (EFR) course. The course is split into two components the first is your Primary Care that covers lfe threatening injuries and illness and the Secondary Care covers first aid procedures. This is a one day course and is run at the dive center.

Prerequisites

  • 18 Years or older
  • Advanced Open Water or qualifying diver certification 
  • Rescue diver or qualifying diver certification
  • CPR and first aid certification within 24 months
  • Medical Staement
